Hello my wonderful, beautiful people!

I hope this post finds you well on this Sunny Saturday afternoon!

I’m here today celebrating with some very special people, the First birthday of the Love From Lizi Boutique! When I started my journey a year ago, I could only have dreamed to be in the position I find myself in today – and it is all thanks to you – for liking, subscribing, buying, posting, sharing, and generally encouraging me at every turn.

I’m not a retailer by trade, and I’ve never experienced some of the challenges I’ve faced, and without a mentor found myself often needing help and have been so very fortunate to have such an amazing support network of customers, suppliers and designers holding my hand through it all. Sadly I’m not the wordsmith I wish I was to be able to truly convey how deeply grateful I am to…

Surprise Happy Friend Mail

Today I made a happy Mail card for one of my friends. I'm using a docrafts goody grab bag that I have and decided to use the forever friends decoupage to help create the front of the card.

As you can see here everything is already pre-cut and ready to be punched out and it's already numbered so you can see what pieces go first together.

Next I punched out all the little pictures and placed them in order by following the numbered instructions.

Next behind each one I turned over the little cut out and placed small square foam dots behind it to give it some definition and a little pop to help it stand out a bit more.

Next I got some black card stock and glued it to the front of the card then I trimmed it down to fit the size of the A2 card. I found this to be the easiest solution so that I don't accidentally cut too much off and I'm not that good with measurements to mess around with it. (sorry there are no exact measurements as I hate maths and just line things up and cut by eye)

Once I have glued all the pieces together I adhere it to the card front and choose a matching statement to glue under it.

There was a little picture of a forever friend on one of the packaging and I fussy cut that out and stuck it to the inside of the card so the recipient can see it.

There was a small pack of buttons in gold, black and silver and I choose 3 black ones and glued them to the front with glue dots to make sure that they stayed in one place.

And that completes my first card and blog.
For my first one I wanted to keep it plain and simple as this was my first time blogging and showing what I can make with my creativity with different kinds of papers and card kits and being able to show my ideas. Hopefully you can find some ideas of your own as I have in making this card with you all.

Hope you all have a good day wherever you are 💐
